Name: Beau
Birthday: 01-12-77
Location: Pennsylvania

I was born in Denver, CO during the blizzard of 1977. That's about all I know about my birth. I do know that my parents were really really weird, because they named me Beau. For no reason... There was no other relative that I was being named after or a family friend that shared the same name, yet I was still named Beau. My older brother was named after our dad and our grandpa. I get the weird name. Ah well.
I've lived in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio and Pennsylvania. While I was in the Marines (95-99) I spent time, at least 6 months or more in Memphis Tennessee, Jacksonville Florida and Cherry Point North Carolina. I also spent 6 months over in Aviano Italy.
My time in the Marines was time well spent. I received a high score on my ASVAB which opened quite a few doors on a career choice while in the Marines. I decided to chose a path less traveled. I chose to go into Crash Fire and Rescue (basically a fire fighter for when planes crash around the base) and was told that was what I was going to be put into. While in boot-camp they told us what our jobs were going to be and I was given the news that I was to be a mechanic for AGSE (Aviation Ground Support Equipment). This wasn't what I had signed up for but nobody really seemed to care so I sucked it up and made the most of it.
I started dating my wife while I was in the Marines and used to drive over 10 hours from NC to OH every weekend to see her and then head back sunday afternoon for another 10 hour drive. We did this for about 6 months. When she finally had enough time in work to take a vacation she came down and visited for a week. It wasn't much longer before I popped the question and she finally moved down to stay with me as my wife. We were married Aug 12 1997.
I served my time in the Marines and was honorably discharged Aug 21 1999. We packed up all of our things and decided to head back to Ohio. For the life of me I couldn't find one job that had an opening for an AGSE technician. Go figure.
So I started looking anywhere I could and basically did a lot of different jobs but nothing seemed to fit. I ended up subconsciously sabotaging my all my jobs to the point where I didn't even want to find another one. I spent a lot of time at home doing things on my computers that 80% of people have no idea is even available with an internet connection. But all that started me on the path towards what I love doing. Working with computers and helping people fix their computer problems. Using information off the internet I learned how to take my pc apart and replace whatever needed fixed inside the tower. Soon enough I didn't even need the reading material, and could help with friends and family computers without any problems. The only problem I had was when applying for jobs doing tech support in large companies they wanted a degree. I didn't have one and I didn't have the time to get one.
On July 29 2000 My son Nick was born. The store I was working for closed down and we were living in a one bedroom apartment. Things needed to change. Jobs in my town are basically retail or factory and I just didn't seem to fit into either one. So the only thing I could think to do was to start looking outside of town. Luckily my brother worked for a company doing excavating work that needed a general laborer. I was getting paid more than what any job in my town was paying but I was driving over an hour every day. I did my job and made plenty of money. The only problem was after about a year the small company went bankrupt and closed down. Luckily for me this started me onto a track into tech support.
Call Tech was a company that was recently purchased by Telecommunications that is located up in Hilliard OH. This is where I got my start doing what I was doing for free at home for my family and friends. Tech Support. Call tech is contracted out by Verizon DSL to handle probably over half of their inbound calls. Over half of those calls are from really mad people who have no idea what the problem is and figure yelling is going to get the problem fixed. All this does is put your technician on edge and then he/she (yes she) wants to get off the phone as quickly as possible instead of focusing on your problem. Of course there are some technicians that just don't care and are going to mess with you no matter what. It happens. I had a really good time there. I almost always wore shorts and flip-fops, I didn't have to impress anyone. I did a good job and was rewarded with awards for being in the Top 20 Technician list. I probably could have been promoted to Tier 3 but I didn't want to have to deal with other tech's problems and the customers that they don't know how to help. The pay and the hour long drive there and the hour drive back became a grind and things needed to change.
My daughter Katelyn, or as we call her Katie was born on Oct 11th 2004. This was a weird situation for my whole family because there hasn't been a girl born in our family in like six generations. Her being born gave a lot of people a topic to talk about. In fact she still does. She is almost the complete opposite of my son. He's kinda shy and somewhat emotional while she's very loud and friendly to everyone. She's very rambunctious. She loves to wear pretty dresses and twirl around in them but she loves playing with bugs just as much. My boy is deathly afraid of any kind of bug. He thinks they're interesting to look at from a distance but flips out if they get close to him. I can't blame him, I am scared to death of spiders.
I'm currently living in Washington PA and I'm a stay at home dad keeping the home front somewhat sane while my wife runs her store. I'd like to find a work at home type of job but most of them seem like a scam to get money from you.
For those of you who really know me, I know that I'm leaving a lot of stuff out, but this isn't supposed to be a blog. Family Aggro is my blog that needs a lot of my attention and I guess I could fill in the blanks about my life over there. I dunno if I'll ever really sit down every day and type about my day to day things. We'll see.
